ABOUT
Dinusha is a speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience working with a wide variety of voice and swallowing disorders. She works with adults and children who may have difficulties with their voice, chronic cough, inducible laryngeal obstruction (ILO) and swallowing disorders.
She began her speech therapy career in London, UK where she received advanced clinical training and experience in voice and swallowing disorders at a teaching hospital. She worked within an ENT (Ear Nose and Throat) team as a specialist voice therapist for 10 years before returning home to Vancouver in 2011 and continuing to work with voice and swallowing disorders in acute care hospital settings.
She began her speech therapy career in London, UK where she received advanced clinical training and experience in voice and swallowing disorders at a teaching hospital. She worked within an ENT (Ear Nose and Throat) team as a specialist voice therapist for 10 years before returning home to Vancouver in 2011 and continuing to work with voice and swallowing disorders in acute care hospital settings.
Dinusha currently works in the public sector alongside her private practice. She provides specialist training and mentorship to peers, presents at medical conferences and is a clinical instructor at the School of Audiology and Speech Sciences UBC.
Dinusha has a deep appreciation for how the voice is an integral part of a person’s identity and how any impairment in this area can have a significant impact on a person’s life. She works closely with her clients to understand their concerns and come up with treatment options that produce the most successful outcomes.

In-person appointments are charged at a slightly higher rate
and will be discussed upon contact.
Most extended health care plans cover speech therapy up to a certain amount.
